ABOUT US

World-renowned animal eye specialists

The Eye Clinic for Animals is a specialty clinic providing exceptional veterinary ophthalmology services. We operate out of two state-of-the-art Veterinary Hospitals located in Sydney using the most advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment available.

In our commitment to being world-wide pioneers in animal ophthalmology, we have invested heavily to ensure we remain at the forefront of our field. As world leaders in the area of corneal transplantation, we are proud to own specialised equipment not found in any other private practice in Australia, and possibly the world. We also utilise the most advanced human ophthalmology equipment to ensure the highest level of care for all our patients.

Excellence without compromise — that’s our goal. We are dedicated to providing the highest-quality ophthalmologic care possible to all of our patients. We are also committed to treating all our patients (and their owners) with honesty, respect and compassion.

Specialty eye care for wildlife and exotic animals

While we spend a lot of time caring for family pets such as dogs, cats and birds, we are also highly capable of providing specialty eye care for wildlife and exotic animals. Our team have successfully treated Australian wildlife such as koalas, kangaroos and native birds.

We have also performed eye surgery on more exotic animals including a Bengal tiger, seals, birds and reptiles.

Leaders in our field

We are very proud of the work we do at the Eye Clinic for Animals. We are especially proud to be leaders in our field and to be recognised for our ground-breaking work in veterinary ophthalmology.

Some of our include:

  • being the first clinic in the world to perform corneal endothelial transplant surgery
  • performing the first retinal reattachment surgery in a dog in Australia in September 2016
  • developing a radical new technique for eyelid repair, which is now used as one of the mainstays of eyelid surgery – the “lip to lid” transposition
  • being featured in an international photo-story by Reuters for our work in assisting koalas caught in the Australian bushfires of 2020
  • successfully performing eye-saving sight on a Bengal tiger, which was the first of its kind in Australia

.
We also offer industry leading diagnostic services including high frequency (UBM) Ultrasound and Electroretinography, and ocular tear film analysis with our recently acquired Tear Film Analyser.
